Crazy October!!

OCTOBER 31, 2023

We were full throttle in October at Show Ready Events! I arrived in Singapore on September 29th for a near two-week ride that oversaw the installation and operation of the FIRST Global Event at the Singapore Expo. This is a busy venue that had lots of activity pre-show and during our event. The staff there was great to work with and I would like to single out our awesome partners Pico, Dorier, ESS Security, and CorpIT for their ability to handle late requests and their preparedness and professionalism in both the planning and onsite execution of FIRST Global.  We had a plan.  We executed that plan.  We were the team that made the 2023 FIRST Global event a wild success!  From the Show Ready Events side, Mindy was the glue that held us all together both in the planning and execution and Kevin made sure that the ceremonies and Gardens by the Bay event went great, and Carla handled the food and various set up and operations pieces were managed well!

Over in Dallas Texas, for the second year, we were able to help our good friends at the Church Facilities Expo bring their event to life in a very successful way! Working with the great team at the KBH convention center, Jenny, Lance and Kerrell were there from load in to load out and everything in between.  With Jenny handling the lead in the planning and onsite managing, she and Lance were able to handle all the onsite challenges (we know that there are always onsite challenges!) Lance sent me a text mid show saying that they were working hard but having fun!  The amazing team from CFX, Jim, Stephanie and John are such great partners that Kerrell told me that she was so excited each day to go in and work with them.  Shepard Exposition Services made all things on the show floor easy to manage between their great planning and great onsite team.   A quick breather on this show before we start working on Chattanooga for 2024!

Kerrell ran from Dallas to New Orleans to work on ALM’s WIPL show (Women Influence & Power and Law) where she got to work with Stephen and Tara from ALM on an important and detailed show at the Roosevelt Hotel.  Kerrell was happy to report that not only did the show go well, but that her staging of Brooke Shields went really well and that she is as nice and smart of a person as she presents herself to be!

While all of this was going on, we were still working on FIRST Robotics Competition events, from finalization of agreements to regional calls and a myriad of other things that make these events a year-round focus.   We are always chipping away on all of these unique details! Onto the deep fall and winter!
